Apple’s stock experienced a slight decline following former President Donald Trump’s public criticism of CEO Tim Cook’s manufacturing strategy in India. TRUMP reiterated his longstanding push for domestic production, urging Apple to build iPhones in the United States rather than overseas.

The tech giant plans to source most US-bound iPhones from India by 2026 to circumvent tariffs, a move analysts say could keep consumer prices stable. Current estimates suggest US-made iPhones WOULD retail for approximately $3,500—a 250% premium over today’s $1,000 average price point.

Despite the geopolitical friction, Apple maintains its $500 billion US investment commitment, which includes creating 20,000 new American jobs. Market observers note the minor share price movement reflects investor confidence in Apple’s global supply chain calculus.
